So, I am home now, back in Texas anyways. My grandpa is still hanging in there, we talk to him everyday, and he is doing well! I dont know for sure when his next surgery will be, we just pray that the infection is gone and a speedy recovery follows!
Tonight, Kathleen and I are going to a Community Bible Study in Georgetown. We are going to try it out and see what happens. I think it is like a BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) for teens. We are pretty excited, we really just yearn for a indepth Bible study. Just to be able to get more into the Word and learn new things. We shall see what happends :)
I miss Wisconsin. How random is that?! I just keep reminding myself that there are seasons in life, and I have moved on to the next chapter. But, I still can't help but miss it at times... I was thinking the other day, Pro's and Con's. There are pro's and con's with both places. I won't sit here and name all of them off to you, right not at least. Just something that I have been thinking about.
So, My mom, sister and I have been babysitting for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and we really enjoy it. This is our second year. It meets at our church and we just watch the little kids for 3 hours every other Friday. It's alot of fun. This year though, instead of helping my family in the baby nursery, I was elected to be a Teacher! WHOO HOO!!! I don't know for how long, if it is the whole year, or just a few weeks untill the real teacher comes back. So far, it is has been fun though, better than I expected. I love being around them... knowing that I might be able to teach them something about Jesus is a great reward :)
I think I want to travel. Not like for a job. But, just go sightseeing. I would love to see Italy, and Rome... Travel to see Isreal... Paris would be so much fun! Someday maybe. I just think it would be so much fun to see what goes on in other countries, how they live, what they eat, the differences. I think I would need to get a good job so I would have money to do that though. Don'tcha think?
As I was reading my Bible this week, I came across this verse:
"Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God."
-Romans 15:7.
And, for some reason, it just struck me. I guess I never really realized that by making the effort, just to reach out and talk to someone, accept them into your group of friends, is praising Jesus. I never thought about it that way. By simply getting to know someone better, it is worshiping our Heavenly Father. Jesus reached out to anyone and everyone and I think we as Christians don't do that nearly enough. We get so caught up in our own little lives, it's so hard to just take a few minutes out of our time to reach out and accept someone different, or shy, or even outgoing...
Just something to think on :)
Til next time...
God Bless.
