Never a Dull Moment...

I was hanging out with some of my favorite kiddos the other day, and decided to write down (and blog) funny things they said. Cracked me up.







-Me: Please don't brush my eyelashes.
Laney: But I hafta'... they are messy.


-Laney: Darcy, Please don't color on your feet.


-Darcy: (while praying at dinner) Dear God, I pray for socks and grapes.


-Dylan: That almost snapped my fingers right off my arm.

-Darcy: (we were playing with the tools) Dylan, don't cut off my toes, I need them to walk.


-Dylan: But, Ms. Jenna, if you brush my hair, it will fall right out of my head.


-Darcy: I can't go to bed now... imma loose my eye.


-Me: Darcy, please don't bite your toenail and give your toenail to me.
Darcy: why?
Me: Because I don't want it, please leave your toes alone.
Darcy: It's clean, I just had a bath.


-Laney: I can't wear my pj's, cuz my belly button will get too hot.


-Me: Darcy, Please don't step in the dog throw up.


Never a dull moment... seriously, sometimes I just have to laugh. They are too much fun.

He is home!

Dad's back from Malaysia! He made it in last night around 5. We are so excited to have him back! He brought home presents... Kathleen and I both got knock-off purses! So cool. My mom got 2 beautiful pairs of earrings. He is the sweetest. He also fixed our Internet for us, so we are back up and running!
I just took my last test in High School! I have my research paper to work on and then I am DONE with school. Whoa! Anyone want to do the paper for me? Didn't think so.
We don't have Bible study tonight... It's odd to have a Monday night that isn't spent in Georgetown! I think I'll go to bed early :)
I have A LOT of cleaning to do, and bathroom to clean. And paper to write. Fun.

Well, Hello there!

Oh. my. goodness.

It has been a while hasn't it!

My life seems to be crazy.

I am working on finishing up school. I have one more test and just need to finish my research paper and then I'll be done.
I have finished reading the Bible in 90 Days. It was a great plan! I am moving on now to a different plan that will take a year, but I'll study a little more in depth.
My dad went to Malaysia for 2 weeks on a business trip (he is still gone-until Sunday night)
My dad took my camera to Malaysia and it stopped working, so I no longer have a camera. Luckily he was able to buy another cheap one so he at least could take pictures over there.
I did not flush part of my toilet paper holder down the toilet last night. Who does that?
My friend Betsy had sweet baby Eli last week.
Some family came down to visit my grandparents and us last week. They have a 5th wheel.
I really want to sew another apron.
This summer I'll be babysitting alot.
My car is making a funny noise. I am praying it is nothing major.
I promise that I'll do better updating my blog from now on. my life really isn't that interesting
I really need a new background or template or something. This one is getting old but I haven't seen any (free) one that I like.

For some reason everything I try to add something while writing this post, it erases the next letter so I have to then retype the whole sentence or paragraph. Very annoying. SO if there isn't a comma somewhere, just keep reading because I didn't feel like retyping.

My sister made me a yummy coffee drink this morning. I think she needs to go into business.

I am going to go research cameras now! haha... more later.

Israel

I opened up my History lesson for school and look what I found.



Um... How cool is that?!
I've been to Israel!
I've been to the Golan Heights
I've been to Nazareth.

Amazing? I think so.

I think this will be a very fun lesson to do!

Romans 7:13-25

I love this passage of scripture. I think that the Message version explains it so well. It speaks exactly to me. I love how God shows you, sometimes through others, what YOU need to learn and read. Take the time and read through this!



Romans 7:13-25 (The Message)

13-I can already hear your next question: "Does that mean I can't even trust what is good [that is, the law]? Is good just as dangerous as evil?" No again! Sin simply did what sin is so famous for doing: using the good as a cover to tempt me to do what would finally destroy me. By hiding within God's good commandment, sin did far more mischief than it could ever have accomplished on its own.

14-16-I can anticipate the response that is coming: "I know that all God's commands are spiritual, but I'm not. Isn't this also your experience?" Yes. I'm full of myself—after all, I've spent a long time in sin's prison. What I don't understand about myself is that I decide one way, but then I act another, doing things I absolutely despise. So if I can't be trusted to figure out what is best for myself and then do it, it becomes obvious that God's command is necessary.

17-20-But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can't keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help! I realize that I don't have what it takes. I can will it, but I can't do it. I decide to do good, but I don't really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don't result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time.

21-23-It happens so regularly that it's predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God's commands, but it's pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

24-I've tried everything and nothing helps. I'm at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn't that the real question?

25-The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.

Texas Bluebonnets

I really love bluebonnets... even if they are only wild flowers! I think they have become my favorite flower. So pretty, and purple too!

Snap Fitness

Kathleen and I joined a local gym today

Snap Fitness isn't too far from our house. (around 2 miles) I've really wanted to get back into the routine of going to the gym after a year off, but who's counting anyways So, we will see if this works for us! The actual gym is pretty small. Only 4 treadmills, 3-4 bikes and so on, but we have access 24/7... any time every day of the year. That's a huge bonus.

Live the Truth!

This was a side note in our Bible Study this week. I really love it!

Christians are different from the rest of the world because we have secure hope. The world hopes and trusts in material things, which are fickle and fade away. But our hope rests on the person of Jesus Christ. He is our unshakable, eternal, victorious and loving Savior! Our hope will never fade away or disappoint. Are you trusting in God so that you have hope, peace and job? What are you doing to help the world have this same hope?

Life has been crazy

Life has been crazy. It is finally settling down a bit though. Tomorrow I am going to write a real post. I have much to do today... you know like school work, Bible Study and cleaning up my room... and maybe getting dressed sometime too.
