What did you say, Momma?

This picture cracks me up. I laugh every single time I see it. I put it in my graduation slideshow so now everyone can see how truly special I was.

Enjoy a few chuckles.  Just not too many, ok?

Tickets: Check!

We have booked our tickets to San Francisco! Whoo hoo!

I'm getting so excited!

We still have to sit down and plan out what we are going to do. It's only a month away- It'll be here before we know it. I want to ride a cable car and see the golden gate bridge. And maybe run into a famous person. Who knows! But look out San Fran, here we come!

Mandisa - God Speaking

I just love this song. I've been listening to Mandisa's cd every time I get into the car. I love the messages that are in her songs. Pure worship music.

Night time prayers

Tonight while tucking Dylan in to bed, his prayer was this:

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for mommy, daddy and my sisters. Thanks for Pei Wei and baths, and for the water day at school. Thanks for letting Ms. Jenna come play with us and for her beautiful shirt. I pray that you help her find a fun date to go on so she can wear her pretty shirt. Amen

After he was finished, I asked him what was up with the whole date/shirt thing. He responded with : "Mommy always wears pretty shirts on her dates with daddy, you have a pretty shirt so you need to go on a date"

Cutest. Thing. Ever. I had to nicely explain to him that there were no dates to go on, or boys to go with. He told me that he would take me to dinner if I wore a pretty shirt. Priceless.

Love that boy.

I enjoy Pei Wei.

Kathleen and I had a little girls date today. We had fun with lots of giggles, fortune cookies, and mandarin spice tea.

My new favorite Chinese food: Mongolian Beef.

I never knew what I was missing before I found this. Delish... I just had it today, but I am craving it again. haha..

I say, go find a Pei Wei near you and dig in!

San Francisco

My aunt, sister and I are planning a trip to San Francisco in July. We've never been to California so I'd love any tips that you have! We definitely want to spend time at the beach, (any favorites?)see the Golden Gate Bridge, and go whale/dolphin watching. If you have a favorite (inexpensive) place to stay, please let me know!

Thanks!

You don't see this every day!

We were driving to pick Kathleen up from driving school yesterday when we happened upon this!

It's been super windy here in Central Texas lately.  I guess the wind was too much for this light. This was the best picture that I could get with my phone. (these are the times that I miss having a camera.) I love how the police car had showed up.  Maybe he thought sitting under the swaying light would make it stop? Interesting. Made me chuckle!
I didn't stick around long enough to see what happened, but Kathleen said when she drove by it was still dangling!

Wailing Wall.

Here are some pictures from the Wailing Wall (Western Wall) in Israel. It was so cool to see the walls filled with prayers. I didn't know that the men and women were separated and had to pray according to gender. It was pretty neat to experience!

(the gray-ish fence is what separated the men from the women)

(this was the men's side... I took a picture through a hole in the fence)

Caution: Work in Progress.

I am trying to figure out a new blog design, so It's a work in progress! haha... Not quite sure what I am doing I am so technology challenged!

So if you see it is different every time you visit, it's becasue I decided I didn't like that version!

I think that makes me idecisive.

Bless my heart.

Crazy Love

I've been wanting to read this book for a while now, but haven't been able to find it at my library.
So, I went out to google books and I was able to find an online copy! I'm so excited. I love how the preface starts out.

(you may have to click on the image to make it bigger)
I don't know about you, but I want more Jesus. I am so excited to start it!

Happy Mother's Day!

There are two very important women in my life... I firmly believe that I wouldn't be who I am today without them. I love you both so much.

Momma: I love your laugh. I love how you have such joy in life. And I love how you are silly with us. I love that you are firm in what you believe. I love how you know exactly what to say when I need to hear it most. I love that you love God. And you brought Kathleen and me up to be such strong girls. It's the sweetest thing how you always put other people before yourself. And I love how you love us and how you and daddy are so in love. I love your smile. I love that you always take time for me, when I just need to talk. I love you Momma!

Karen: I love you. You are seriously like my mother, in a good way! I love that you love to spend time with me and Kathleen. I love how you take time every day to talk to us on the phone. I don't think you really can know how much it brightens my day. It makes it feel like there really isn't 1304542 miles in between us. I love that. I love how we laugh until we cry. And how we can sing the dolphins into shore. I love that you take time off of work to come spend time with us. I love that you are such a role model in my life. You are the best. I love you.

Happy Mother’s Day. Thanks for being my Mom and FAK. God has really blessed me with you...
