Prayer

I could use a little prayer.
I am so overwhelmed, it isn't really funny.
I have so much homework. I think it is having 4 classes (all with homework) on one day, 3 times a week, that i'm struggling with. It's only the first full week of school, and I am stressed out.
I have two classes tomorrow and homework in them, plus homework from today.
I really don't know if I can do this, if I can stay on top of it all. If I can get everything done.

Weekends

Today is the first Saturday that I am not spending with my parents.  I'm not going to lie.  It is pretty difficult.  I really really miss them.
I am thankful that I'm only 6 hours away, but it still is a really long time.
I know this is part of growing up. But I do not like it.
I have officially been at SNU for a week.
I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to attend a christian college and even college in general. It's just a lot harder to be away from my family than I thought it would be.
I am going to do some homework now. Fun stuff.

Christian College

One of the best things about being in a Christian College is having a professor pray for a great semester over the class.  It is so neat to see and hear.  One other cool thing was this prayer she read to us.  I am going to share it, because I thought it was neat for her to think of doing this! (this was in my speech class-last class of the day)

Colossians 1:9-12 (New International Version)

 ⁹For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.¹⁰And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, ¹¹being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully ¹²giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you^[a] to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.





I'm praying for a good semester, even if this afternoon wasn't so great. 

First Day of Class

First day of classes: Complete

It was such a busy morning.  Besides almost crying when I sat down in Math Class, the morning went well.  I was able to find my classes.  The one class that I was unsure about my friend Ben was walking by and he helped me find it.  So thanks Ben!

My math class will be the death of me.  Jennah (who lives on my hall) and I have three classes together, including Math, so we will have to study a lot together! haha..

Four classes down today, none to go!

I only have one class tomorrow.  It's at 11:45.

Good-bye

Goodbyes are always hard.

I don't like them very much.

About an hour ago, I had to say goodbye to my family.

I cried, of course. It was really hard to see them pull away.

I guess it is part of growing up, but I sure do not like it.

The good thing in this, is that they are only 6 hours away. Not 15 or 16. I can drive 6 hours easily.

They are coming back in October. That helps.

I love you, Momma, Daddy and Kathleen.  Thanks for helping me move in this weekend.  On Kathleen's 16th Birthday nonethelesss. She's the best!

Officially a College Student!

Hello All!
Long time no talk.
Today, I moved into my dorm.
We got here at 7:45. We are from Wisconsin. We are early people. It's funny because we always joke that people in Texas are on "Texas Time"- because they are always running late.
But anyways-
We were here early, the second people in line for a dorm check, and then we came back to the lobby to get my room key, and then started bringing my things up.  SNU has these people called Luggage Luggers, that help carry everything up for you. When you are going up 5 flights of stairs, that is very very helpful.  So thank you dear luggage luggers. I appreciate you!
By 8:40 we pretty much had everything upstairs in my room and before 11 everything had it's place! I think it turned out great!
My parents have to leave tomorrow at 2:30. I'm a little sad I am not going to lie.
Tomorrow we get to go to church together though. And lunch I think! So, that will be nice to have some more time with just them.  We have to meet with our little family groups after that! So then I am not sure what's next!
Classes start Wednesday. My first class in at 8am.
I am officially a college student. Crazy!

Where did Summer go?

Um, excuse me? Where did summer go off to? Where did August go?

My grandparents and aunt have been here since Wednesday. We are having such a fun time.  But time is passing all too quickly.

I will officially be a college freshman on Friday.  We leave Friday before lunch to head to Oklahoma. I n s a n e.

I have been a horrible blogger

Life has been crazy.  I have finished working so I thought life would slow down a bit.  Like I could just sit in bed and read a book all day :)   I've been busy packing up my room, getting ready for company, and spending as much time as I can with my family. 

Some of my favorite people are coming to Texas tomorrow, my grandparents and aunt.  I cannot wait!

Kathleen turns 16 in 10 days, and in 10 days I leave for SNU. Crazy.

I will blog more later. I have a lot to catch up on!
