Dear Wisconsin,

I am sure that you will laugh when you see these pictures. Because I laughed when I took them. It snowed this morning. Enough said---- well not really. This closed schools. Sigh. Funny funny. You need like 8 inches to close school in WI. Cracks. Me. UP.

The news said that last time that Round Rock/Georgetown got this much snow was Valentines Day 2004. Ok, so I heard that a cold front is moving through now, so we could see more sleet later on.. But still. It cracks me up that people are seriously freaking out.

I'm sorry that isn't nice of me. I forget that many haven't really ever seen snow...

Me on the other hand? I love it! (this picture was obviously not taken in Texas. It was in Wisconsin)

Today I am thankful:

-to not be babysitting (did I just say that!??!)
-that CBS is tonight.
-that I can stay in my pjs for a while.

This morning we headed down to Austin to the Apple store bright and early. I have been trouble with my iPhone again. Ever since I got this phone(my second replacement one), I have been hearing static every time on a phone call. Of course, when we took it down there, the people couldn't hear static for the life of them. It was really frustrating. We didn't want them to think we were lying, but I really didn't want to come home and then drive back when it happened again, and them not hear it... again. Whew!

So, anyways. We were just getting ready to leave, and the lady said, ''Hold on, let me try just one more thing...'' Lo and behold, they heard static!! Whoo. It was a close call for sure.

They replaced the display on the phone (the screen) and so far so good. No static yet!

Let me tell you. This place is high tech.

Apple is going to take over the world. They start 'em young. -Crazy.

So thank you dear Apple genius' for saving my static problem.

OH MY GOODNESS... not that I bought anything to have to use this, but when we were there a few weeks ago, I noticed that there are no 'check-outs'. It's insane. When you want to purchase something, you find a genius, of course, and they pull out a little phone thingy like this from their pocket : and swipe your card. Voila! You are done. Your receipt is being emailed to you as we speak. Crazy. Technology.

On the mend..

I'm back.

On Sunday evening, we drove up to Temple to meet with some friends. We actually met for dinner and to have a meeting for my upcoming Israel trip.. (less than 3 weeks away!)
We went to 5 Guys Hamburgers... We had a nice visit and headed home.

Let me just say, I got sick. At first I thought it was food poisoning, but after the fever, chills, and aches set in, I realized it was the bug.... the 24 hr bug I'm guessing, since I am feeling human again this morning.

Needless to say, I wont be eating hamburgers and such for a while, or any food for that matter. The smell of food still makes me queasy, but I think the fever broke last night, and now it is just a headache and feeling like a truck ran me over.

My aunt told me I have to keep drinking, even though I don't feel like it. I'd rather drink than eat for sure.

So, I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I was just sick.

The last time I had the flu was 2 years ago... on Valentines day. Interesting how I got sick on Valentines day this year.

Thankfully I was able to take today off work, to catch up on school since I didn't do any yesterday, but starting tomorrow, my ''work week'' doesn't end until Sunday Morning.

I am blessed.

And thankful to be on the mend.

They Came to My Rescue... seriously.

I just want to say that you may think your family is the best. But mine truly IS.

We went to Temple tonight to meet some friends for dinner. Our dear friend, who is taking me to Israel, came to meet and talk about the trip.

We went to Five Guys Burgers. I won't be going there again.

I don't know if it was food poisoning, or it just didn't agree with me, but I got SICK. Big time. Still feel a tad queasy.

Rambling.

So, my little break is over. It's back to work now. I am working tonight, tomorrow night and Saturday night. I didn't realize that the night before Valentines Day (Saturday) would be so popular. I seriously received 5 calls to babysit. It was insane.

It is gloomy and rainy here. It makes me tired. It is snowing in Dallas! I guess that they could get like 4-6 inches! Fun.

I got all my hair cut off yesterday. I am not even kidding. My mom said my hair hasn't been this short since I was 5. I think I like it. It is really strange, it being so short. I think I'm trying to figure out how to make it look like it did yesterday, when Amiee styled it. It never looks the same! I bet I lost 3 lbs with getting all (well, not really all my hair cut off, but a good chunk of it) my hair cut off. We shall see!

I am off to work on some math. my favorite. i can't wait. really.

The rain is coming down! Pretty hard in fact. We haven't had rain like this in a while. I really do enjoy the rain. Other than the fact it makes me sleepy. :D

Whew!

College visit was a blast... I really loved the school, and could ''see'' myself going there! We will have to see what happens.

I am working on school now. I'm exhausted! I need to do quite a bit more between tonight and tomorrow to catch up from what I missed on Friday. Never ending, but oh well. I enjoy it for the most part! Maybe i'll need a nap tomorrow after church.

who watches the super bowl anyways. boringgggg.

I haven't abandoned my blog. Just been a little busy, that's all!

I've fallen a little behind in Math... so, just trying to catch up in that, and Bible reading, and laundry, and cleaning, and college searching. You know.

Speaking of the dreaded 'C' word... I am heading up to SNU (Southern Nazarene University) tomorrow for a campus visit. (So FAK, you can stop worrying that I am going to do nothing with my life! haha. Just kidding.) I can't believe that I am going to graduate in 2010.. and it is already 2010! Feels like I was just saying (8 yrs ago) that 2010 is soooo farrr awayyyy - Highschool flew by so fast!

I have mucho school to do, so i need to run!
