Power Mat!

One of our Christmas presents this year was this nifty power mat. It charges Iphone's, ipods, blackberry's, bluetooths, all with no cords!

It has had quite a workout so far. It is really nice and convenient! I love it!

Is this not the cutest thing ever?

Meet Darcy. She has quite the voice. I never get tired of listening to her sing.

I was babysitting Darcy and her cute siblings the other day when they started breaking out into song... cracked me up.

Just Bouncin'

I took the kiddos to Georgetown Jump a few days ago.. It actually went way better than I had thought. It was nice and big... there weren't to many kids. It was pretty fun to just watch them use up a bunch of energy! It was nice for me to just sit back and take some pictures... and feed them lunch, take them potty, you know- the babysitter stuff.

Here are a few (unedited) of my favorite pictures from the day.

Lefse!

It's an old Norwegian thing, ya know?

Here in Texas, you can't find Lefse anywhere in stores. So thank you sweet Aunt Inez, for sharing the recipe... Because I am now addicted. (well, I have really enjoyed it always, but when you get a craving for something, it always tastes better!)

We have made it before, but not since moving to Texas. So, a few days ago, we broke out the rolling pin, lefse board and potatoes and made us some Lefse!

Needless to say, I am super excited to eat it. I don't know how much will be left over for Christmas! It was fun making it, even though it is a bit of a process. It tastes even better with all of that hard work.

Sweet Brookie

This is the precious little girl that I used to watch. She was the preemie baby that stopped breathing while I was holding her. Brooke is now a hyper, healthy, beautiful 2 year old girl. So sweet. Kathleen and I watched her the other night. She is such a joy and happy baby big girl. I cannot believe how grown up she is, and that it's been two years since I held that little baby... Time sure does fly!

Christmas Cookies!

We have finally started our holiday baking! Now that it is almost Christmas and all.

We made cut out cookies!

These are my favorites!

We sort of have a Packer theme going this year...

It is nice to be able to bake... Last year, we really didn't do much. It is still a bit hard to get in the 'Christmas' mood with out snow, but we are getting there!

Not too much..

I don't really have too much going on these days! Working on school, and all that jazz. Last night we made Christmas cookies and decorated them... And today, I think we are going to make Lefse, one of my favorites!

I am so tired! I feel like I could sleep for a week.

I'll try to come up with something actally intresting to blog about... maybe.

sorry.

My friend informed me that I have a few well, he said a lot, but whatever grammatical errors in my posts.

Now that I know someone else reads it besides my family, I'll have to start being a little more conscious on the punctiation and you know- words (and stuff)

So, here is to better grammar. maybe

Packer Game

The Packers play tonight! I don't think we will get to see all of the game. Kathleen and I are going to Bible Study. But, I'm wearing my jersey in hopes they win! haha..

Once a cheesehead,

always a cheesehead.

you can take the girl out of wisconsin, but you cant take wisconsin out of the girl.

Go packers!

PS: Totally off subject, but I am really craving some cheese curds from here... Curly's in Lambeau. Just saying.

now I am hungry for these... sigh.

Remembering these this week.

When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted. (Psalm 138:3)

Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord. They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the Lord. Their hearts are steady, they will not be afraid. (Psalm 112: 1a, 7-8a)

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62:1-2)

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Psalm 46:1-3)

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. (Psalm 32:7-8)

I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. (Psalm 34:4)

Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:10b)

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17)

My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. (Exodus 33:14)

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. (Deuteronomy 33:27)

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. (Psalm 9:9-10)

I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8)

Monday... Already?

I don't know if it is just me, but it seems that time is moving faster than I can blink.

How is it that it is already the 7th of DECEMBER? Insane. It doesn't seem that 2009 has been as long as the other years! haha.

Oh well. Christmas will be here before too long!

Tonight, we are having a Christmas party for teen CBS.
CBS has been such a blessing in my life. And now we get to bless others! I am excited about what we are going to do this year for our Christmas ''party''
We are going to go shopping for a few charities. It is so neat to give back to people who actually need something. It is great to have a party just with our little group, but it is so neat to truly give back. Since that is the reason for the season! I think it will be a fun time!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Minus the snow.

We found a Christmas tree yesterday. It's a 9 foot prelit tree. We found it after a few weeks of looking. So thank you Sams club.

I ended up babysitting last night. Lots of kiddos and a lot of energy. Wore me out! I slept so good last night, that's for sure.

We have our Christmas decorations out for the most part. It is a little strange having so many snowmen out when it is going to be in the high 60s. Oh well, the house looks nice anyways.

I think we're going to finally decorate for Christmas

I think so.

Last night we got all the boxes of Christmas stuff out from the attic. It is all sitting out in the living room upstairs.

I think since we are staying in Texas this year, and will be home to enjoy it, that we are going to put Christmasy things out.

No tree yet, but maybe soon.

Crazy that Christmas is so close!

It really did snow today!

for all of 10 minutes.

Big, beautiful flakes. That melted when they hit the ground.

I wish it would have lasted a little longer.

but I am thankful we did get to see snow, since we aren't going home this Christmas.

I am going to sleep with my window open and fan blasting tonight. Enjoying every since moment of the 20 degree weather we will have tonight. Then it gets back into the 60s.

Dear Cold weather,
could you please stay forever? Since I know that's not possible... can you at least come visit again? soon. an more often than one time a 'winter'
i'd appreciate it oh so much.
love,
Jenna

Rain.

Today is so very gloomy. It's raining. Hard. We are on our way to meet a cousin who is in Dallas for work. We are about 45 minutes from Sam Moon and ever since we left home it's been pouring.

I love rain! But I love it even more when I'm curled up in my pjs at home. I did bring my snuggie with though! And slippers too!

We have a chance to get snow flurries on Friday! Crazy huh? We are in Texas! That would be fun even if we only got a few flakes.

La de da

-------

so pretty much we are 20 minutes from Sam Moon. Still hasn't quite raining. Now off to look for a restuant online.

Well, I made it!

To 200 posts!

Pretty cool! haha..
(what you can't find on the internet. ha)

Shall we celebrate with balloons, cake, cilantro?

nah...

It's been fun blog.

Here's to hundreds more.

Cilantro time.

We are headed to Dallas tomorrow afternoon to see our cousin that's in town.

I hope to be able to go to Sam Moon since we are going to be right near it anyways! It is a huge purse/bag store. Like seriously large. I think we are planning on leaving a bit early to make that fit into our schedule.
Pretty excited!

We are going to take the ipods loaded with new music. It will be fun.

ok, seriously.

if anyone knows, please clue me in.

One letter on my keybord doesnt work...

Cn you guess which one? :D

The letter 'a' silly!

How, you may ask then, is an 'a' showing up?

My genius sister and daddy! They hooked up an external keyboard! So I type just like normal on the laptop, but when I come to an 'a', i just plunk down on the external keyboard.. Easy Peasy! :D I am glad they are so smart!

We are in the process of changing computers around in our house. My old laptop was dying. So we were able to switch around few and 'voila!' All is well!

So, not really anything special to blog about! I guess a new keyboard is on it's way and then the 'a' key should work!

haha :D

Feels like Saturday!

Thanksgiving was grand. We had a delicious meal as always. My mom is an excellent cook.

It's 8:45 at night and I'm already curled up in my bed with my snuggie ready for bed!

Tomorrow I have a sleepover with my friend Grace. I'm pretty excited. We will have fun for sure!

Hope you all had a blessed holiday!

Just Thinking

Wow! It's Wednesday already! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!
Crazy. A month until Christmas.

What are you thankful for this year? I am so thankful for health, my family, my friends, clothes, beds, warm showers, cranberry sierra mist, and SO much more. I could sit here for an hour and just list all the things that I am blessed with.

I think that sometimes we get so caught up in our every day lives that we forget how fortunate we truly are. So this thanksgiving, lets remember to truly give thanks.

I have been feeling down and out lately realizing that this holiday season I won't be going home to Wisconsin. We aren't traveling back for Christmas this year. No snow, no family gatherings, no seeing all my wonderfully amazing friends, no snow. (did i mention I'd like to go home :D)- It'll be the first time we aren't going to spend Christmas in Wisconsin, and that's a little hard to grasp. It is hard to get in the Christmas mood (or Thanksgiving) when it is 70 degrees out. Who wants to put snowmen out, or a tree for that matter when you're wearing shorts?

But, it all goes back to the ''thankful'' part. We are all healthy, I'm going to be with (some) my family, we are truly blessed.

My dad started this little thing a few years ago, where before we'd even pray for our food at dinner, we'd go around the table and find something we are thankful for from that day. As silly as it sounds, or as little as it sounds, it really makes you find one thing (or more) of what you are thankful for!

Have a great day tomorrow with your family! Eat lots of turkey for me, since I don't like it! haha.

Happy Thanksgiving!
