~Merry Christmas~

Merry Christmas! I hope your day is full of blessings today.

I woke up feeling very thankful and blessed. We are celebrating Christmas at my grandparents house. My grandpa has a fire in the fireplace each day. Yesterday we watched as the snow fell all day. It was beautiful and so peaceful.

We opened presents last night with our family.  I was so surprised to receive a Cricut Imagine! I played with it for a little bit :D There will be a lot of fun had there! I was spoiled and got many other things too!

We are waiting for Aunt Char, and the Weber families to arrive and celebrate Christmas with them.

It is so nice to be back in the kitchen again. I spent this morning peeling potatoes watching the snow blow out the kitchen window.

I have so much to be thankful for this year.

Merry Christmas and remember that JEsus is the true reason for the season.

First Semester:

-Completed.

Whew! I am officially (as of 2:45 today) done with my first semester of college.

It is such a relief to be finished. I was so tired this afternoon and didn't feel like doing anything.

I went to dinner and there was nothing there to eat (surprise, surprise!) so I came back and took a shower, talked with my family, and am now doing laundry for the last time in Hatley! I have to say, I am not sad at all to never have to walk down 6 flights of stairs (and back up) to do laundry again. So not sad.

My car is pretty much packed with everything I own and ready for the move into Hills on Friday. I am not thrilled to have to move again, but it's nice to not have to live on the 5th floor anymore! I guess the stairs are good exercise though.

I am really excited to see my family tomorrow. Kathleen will get a taste at dorm life, and we will leave for Wisconsin on Friday! I am praying for good weather on the trip north. It would really stink to run into icy roads the whole time! Either way, we will be going home for Christmas and I couldn't be happier!

Ahhh, It is so nice to know that I don't have any pressing commitments tomorrow. I will clean the room and back up the last few things to be all set for bright and early Friday morning. I'm beyond tired and excited to get to sleep in!

Happy Almost Thursday everyone!

One left, just one left!

I've been thinking that today is Wednesday all.day.long.

When I realize that today is only Tuesday, I become a little discouraged.

oh well.

This too shall pass...

In 17 hours, my first semester as a freshman in college will be complete.

In 44 hours, my parents, sister and puppy will be here.

In 59 hours, we will be in the van heading for Wisconsin.

Why yes, I am counting down the hours!

I have to say, since I have started to pack up my room (it's almost done) room 509 looks like a prison cell. And it echos.

I am excited that Friday morning will be my last time ever walking up to the 5th floor of Hatley!

Needless to say, I am ready for break!

One down, Two to go!

Took my first final today..... I felt confident walking in this morning. And I have received half of the grade. I am pleased with it! I have one final tomorrow and one on Wednesday and I am finished.

This afternoon I am studying and packing up my room. I have to pack everything up for the big move on Friday! It is kinda a pain to have to pack up the whole room, but it's gotta be done.

My family is coming up on Thursday and Kathleen will spend the night in the dorm with me! Last night in Hatley! Whoo hoo!

Next semester it will be different having someone live on top of me. One plus to climbing all the stairs to the 5th floor is there is no one above us. Oh well! It will be a new, fun experience. I'll live on 3rd floor!

I am so excited to not have to eat Common's food after Friday. I'll get a whole month off.

I think I'm going to go make a trip to my car now!

It's Finally Friday

This morning started out with getting up and ready for Bib Lit... we reviewed for our Final that is on Monday... then I went and handed in my final two English papers of the semester.  A bakery across the street was giving away free breakfast this morning so Jen and I went and checked it out.  We had so much food, and it was indeed free! I have donut holes and a coffe cupcake leftover for tomorrow! SCORE.

Today, I gave my speech. It went way better than I expected it to. I am praying I at least made an ''a''- I feel really good about it regardless though. The best thing? last one :D

I need to get enough energy to go do laundry now...

My weekend will consist of:

-Studying for finals.
-sleep.
-packing.
-cleaning.
-sleep.

Happy Weekend!

Government Project

Complete!

We presented our project today. I think it went alright. I had everything in a packet and gave it to the professor proudly. A lot of work went into it, and I am not sure the group all realized that. I am glad the PowerPoint worked out and the presenter did a good job.

It is such a huge relief to have that behind me.  One more paper to write, one more speech to give, 2 more classes and 3 finals.

188 hours (hopefully) until I am headed to Wisconsin.

188 more..

10 Rules for Making Each Day Great!

Ten Rules For Making Every Day A Great Day

  1. Think that good things will happen.
  2. Express gratitude to a loved one.
  3. Put your gripes away in a box.
  4. Be patient with an annoying person.
  5. Do something special for yourself.
  6. Reach out to someone who needs comfort.
  7. Focus deeply on each moment.
  8. Learn from a mistake.
  9. Thank the Lord for another day with the ones you love and for all the blessings present in your life.
 10. SMILE!

I found this online and adapted it a little. I could go on, but I thought it was good to remember. These last few weeks of school can be trying but that isn't a good reason to not have a great day.

Almost done.... Almost done.

Countdown to the semester break: 14, nearly 13 more days until classes are over.

I can do this, I can do this, I can do this.... right? I can. I've made it this far... I'm still breathing. Still truckin'.  This week has been crazy. I've had a headache all.week.long. I am sure it is from lack of sleep and having the window open all the time. There is no screen on the window. I know i've swallowed some bugs... It's happened.

I have a lot to do this weekend, but I don't really want to get into that. It's too much.

I am sad, because in 14, nearly 13 days, I will say goodbye to Jennah.  It's sad because I don't know the next time i'll see her. She's moving to Florida. That's a long way away. I know deep down, she is going to miss me too.  We will have to have a lot of Skype dates. We will work something out I am sure. We will indeed.

Oh, yes... guess what?  I get to see my best friend ever in 17, maybe 18 days! That's right! I am so excited! It's been wayyyy toooo longgg since I have seen her! We have a lot to catch up on!

Well, I am going to write my paper- at least start on it tonight before bed....
